Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Glintium mobile app, the Glintium store integrations, and the Glintium POS till app for shops (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Famouslinker Pty Ltd (ABN 78 666 959 084), an Australian company (“Glintium”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Glintium surfaces real purchases to a buyer’s friends and wider network so people can discover products from those they know. Purchases are sourced from connected commerce platforms (Square, Shopify, Lightspeed Retail and Clover) and from Glintium POS — our till app that shops use to record in-store sales. Some shops also publish their menu in the App: an order you build there is a request to the shop, and you pay the shop directly at the counter. The sale is between you and the shop — Glintium is not a party to it, processes no payment, and your rights against the seller under the Australian Consumer Law are unaffected. The Service may change over time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the phone number and device you use to access your account and for activity that occurs under it.

3. Merchant terms (connected stores)

If you connect a Square, Shopify, Lightspeed Retail or Clover store, you represent and agree that:

  • You are authorised to connect the store and to share its order and customer data with Glintium.
  • Glintium acts as a data processor on your behalf and you are the data controller of your customer data.
  • You will disclose to your customers — through your own privacy policy and point-of-sale notice — that purchase data may be shared via Glintium to surface purchases to the buyer’s network, and you will obtain any consent your jurisdiction requires.
  • You may disconnect your store at any time, which revokes our access and stops further data sharing.

We process connected-store data only to provide the Service and as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

4. Glintium POS merchant terms

If you create a shop in Glintium POS, you additionally represent and agree that:

  • You are authorised to act for the business, and the details you enter (business name, ABN, address, catalogue and prices) are accurate and kept up to date. If you publish your menu, you are responsible for keeping it and its prices consistent with what you charge at the counter.
  • Payments. Glintium POS records sales but never processes payments: card payments run entirely on your own EFTPOS terminal under your agreement with your bank, and cash stays with you. Taking payment, giving change and refunding money are your responsibility; Glintium holds no funds at any time.
  • Your records and your customers. You are the controller of your shop’s sales records; we process them on your behalf as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You will tell your customers — for example through counter signage — that purchases can be shared to a buyer’s network via Glintium and how your loyalty program uses their details, and you will obtain any consent your jurisdiction requires.
  • Loyalty. Loyalty stamps, rewards and any member offers are your own offer to your customers — you fund and honour them. Glintium takes no cut of rewards and is not responsible for honouring them.
  • Bookings. If you offer services, your appointment book and the customer details on it (names, phone numbers, service, time and notes) are your records; we process them on your behalf as described in the Privacy Policy. While you have services and opening hours set, customers can also book through your shop’s public booking page on glintium.com. Every appointment is an arrangement between you and your customer: honouring, rescheduling, cancelling and no-shows are between the two of you, and Glintium is not a party to the appointment and does not guarantee attendance or payment.
  • Quotes and jobs. If you quote work through Glintium, your job pipeline — quote requests, the customer details, photos and addresses that come with them, your quoted prices, schedules and invoices — is your records; we process them on your behalf as described in the Privacy Policy. Every quote, job and invoice is an arrangement between you and your customer: pricing, doing the work, and getting paid are between the two of you. Glintium delivers your quote and records the outcome but is not a party to the job, does not guarantee acceptance or payment, and never processes payment. The same applies to a job someone shares with you by link before you join Glintium: your reply on that page goes to the person who shared it, and any work you then agree is entirely between the two of you.
  • Staff. Staff PINs identify staff on your own device for your own records. Activity under your account and its PINs is your responsibility.
  • GST & reports. GST amounts, reports and BAS summaries are computed from the sales you record and are provided for your convenience. They are not tax, legal or accounting advice — confirm your figures with your accountant.
  • Receipts. Receipts are sent on your behalf at your customer’s request, using contact details the customer provides for that send only.
  • Optional training photos. If you turn on training contribution, you grant Glintium a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the contributed barcode–photo product samples to develop product-recognition features. You can turn it off at any time, which stops future contributions.

Plans, trial and billing. Glintium POS is a paid subscription with a 30-day free trial: every new shop gets full access to all features for 30 days, no card required (shops registering through a Glintium invitation get an extended 60-day trial). After the trial you choose a plan — Basic at A$59 per month or Pro at A$129 per month, both including GST, billed per shop location, outside the mobile app stores (payment is processed by Stripe). If you subscribe during the trial, billing starts when the trial ends. If the trial ends without a subscription, the till pauses until you choose a plan — your sales records and data are retained and remain yours. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. We may change plan pricing or inclusions with at least 30 days’ notice; discounted or complimentary (“founding shop”) access is at our discretion and existing rates are honoured. Current plans and inclusions are always shown in the app.

Closing your shop. You can close your shop at any time in the POS app (Shop details → Close this shop). Closing takes effect immediately: the shop comes off Glintium everywhere, the till stops taking sales, pending booking requests are declined, and any subscription is cancelled immediately with no refund for the current billing period. For 30 days you can reopen the shop with one tap (billing resumes only if you subscribe again) or export your sales records — retaining your business records (including for tax purposes) is your responsibility. After the 30-day window the shop and all of its data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Deleting your Glintium account requires closing your shop(s) first.

Invitations. Authorised Glintium agents may invite a business to Glintium POS by entering the owner’s mobile number in the app, with the owner’s agreement. Glintium sends one invitation SMS on the inviter’s behalf; every invitation SMS carries an opt-out link, and opted-out numbers receive no further invitations. Inviting numbers without the owner’s agreement, or attempting to circumvent invitation limits, is a breach of these Terms. If an invited number registers a shop within the invitation window, the registration is attributed to the inviter under their agent agreement; a referral code entered at sign-up takes precedence over an invitation.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access data you are not authorised to access, reverse-engineering or disrupting the Service, or using it to violate any law or another person’s rights.

6. User content (comments)

The Service lets you post comments and replies in a product’s public chat (“User Content”). User Content is public and shown with your username. You retain ownership of what you post and grant Glintium a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within the Service. You are responsible for your User Content and agree not to post anything unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing, hateful or otherwise objectionable. You can delete your own comments, and they are removed when you delete your account. You can also report comments or users and block other users — blocking hides that person’s comments from you and (where messaging is available) prevents direct messages between you. We operate a manual review process and may hide or remove User Content and warn, suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. Direct messages you send are private between you and the recipient and are not end-to-end encrypted; they are also subject to these rules — you can start a conversation with someone you follow (by messaging them about a purchase of theirs you can see, or by sharing a product with them), you may report messages, and blocking a user prevents messaging between you.

7. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand what we collect and how it is protected.

Location is optional. Some features (such as “Nearby” in Explore) work better if you let the App use your device’s approximate location while it is open. This is entirely optional, used only for the request you make, and never stored; you can turn it off at any time in your phone settings without losing access to the rest of the Service.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and branding, is owned by Glintium and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that purchase information is complete, accurate or uninterrupted. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glintium will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or to protect the Service or its users.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
